House of Salmon

Experience the interaction of aquaculture between nature, people and technology by visiting our center in Alta city centre, or join our boat trip out to our sea location and experience fish farming in practice.
Visitation center:
At House of salmon's visitation center you will find fact-based knowledge about the aquaculture industry, and through interactive and fun activities, this visitation center is an experience for everyone. Here, a guide will give you a tour of the center, or you can explore the center on your own. The center has free entrance.
Salmon farm:
Join the House of salmon’s boat trip out to the salmon farm Mortensnes to experience aquaculture up close. The trip to the salmon farm goes by passenger boat through the beautiful coastal landscape of Altafjorden. The trip must be booked in advance, and information about this can be found on the House of salmon’s website.
